Today, I saw a deer lying on the side of the road who had been hit by a car and left to die.
There have been times that I have felt like a deer hit by a car and left for dead. Left to be pecked apart by vulchers. Usually, and unfortunately those vulchers are Christians and close family members.
Have you been there my friend?
We all have. The most earth shaking part is we ourselves have often been THAT Christian and THAT close family member at times. We have spoken words in anger. We have withheld comfort. We have ignored those who needed help. We have choosen our own desires over the will of God.
We see people hurting and struggling, but we don’t have time for them. We are too busy. We go to church and that should be enough. We read our Bible, we say our prayers and that should be enough. We have our own family and business to take care of. God forbid, He should actually expect us to step out of our comfort zone and help someone else.
Jesus’ ministry was filled with Him touching lives, changing lives, healing and bringing deliverance. If we are Christians then we are to be followers of Christ. Whose life is being changed or delivered by you? Are you living life or making a difference in others lives?
Jesus made a difference in every life He touched.
Oh, to be more like Jesus.
