For Real, Elaine?!

Just living the fairy tale life! NOT!! LOL

Check Yourself

Do you check your spirit?

In Luke 18:9-14, the Pharisee prays self-righteously, boasting about his religious practices, including fasting twice a week and paying tithes. In contrast, the tax collector humbly prays for mercy, and Jesus highlights the tax collector’s humility.

So many times, we worship and seek after the wrong things. I know this from my own personal experiences.

No pastor, not one, can hold a candle to Jesus! No singer, no praise team can hold a candle to the Holy Spirit. They are all vessels used by God—humans with faults and failures, just like you and me. Don’t expect them to be something even you can’t be. Don’t place your hope and confidence in them.

When I was a very young girl, naive and foolish, I made this mistake. I realize now that it wasn’t the people I trusted’s fault they weren’t perfect; it was my fault for putting them on an impossible pedestal!

No one is perfect!

No one is good but God!

Bear ye one another’s burdens.

Pray for one another, but realize our hope and trust are dependent solely on Jesus Christ!
