What’s your favorite time of day?
My favorite time of the day in the summer is late evening.
Dinner is finished. Dishes are cleared and the kitchen has been cleaned. I settle down into my comfy love seat with my day planner and begin striking off everything I did on my “To Do List.” Anything I did not get done I write on tomorrow’s list.
A good day is when everything on my “To Do List” has been marked through. This gives me great satisfaction and motivation to continue working and striving to live each day with purpose.
Now, you must realize all of my “To Do Lists” do not contain hard chores or assignments which require great attention and discipline. For example some days these assignments are on my list:
Take a drive and listen to music
Walk and pray
Take a nap
Go to lunch with a friend
Visit your favorite thrift store
Rest for a day or more
A life driven with purpose is needed to live for God, but a life without rest will have no joy.
